In 1965, a plaque was provided at the Burland Community Hall, King Street, Newtown, to commemorate the work of the late ex-Alderman, G.A. Sullivan.
Local government service
George Sullivan was elected Alderman for Phillip Ward from 5 December 1959 to 30 November 1962. He was a member of the Works Committee, 1960-62 and its Vice-Chairman in 1961-62 and the Health and Recreations Committee, 1960-62.
