Family background

Vincent Martin Pike was born at Waterloo, NSW on 9 February 1904, the son of Edward Talbot Herbert Pike and Jane Russell.

He married Lillian Frances Ryan (1902-1996) on 6 June 1955 at Darlinghurst, NSW. They lived at 7 Furber Road, Centennial Park.

Pike died on 27 November 2001 at Vaucluse, NSW and was cremated at the Eastern Suburbs Crematorium.

Occupation & interests

Vincent Pike was admitted as a solicitor in 1929. He established the firm of Pike and Pike in 1940 with his sister, Veronica. He was a Labor endorsed alderman from Golden Grove Ward.

Local government service

Vincent Pike was an alderman on Redfern Council, representing Golden Grove Ward, in 1934-41.
